This volume is an attempt to bring to the forefront various challenges faced by a social work educator and a practitioner while teaching or practicing social work. It contains fourteen chapters and each one of them make us realize the key issues and critical challenges that stand in the way of relevant and responsible social work education being imparted in our country. The papers have debated and discussed the issues which need to be addressed immediately so that the profession of social work can prove it’s usefulness and credibility. The articles hope to develop standards of social work education and bring about qualitative improvements in the present scenario.
